Hidden Magic (Dragon's Gift: The Huntress #0)…✎…Linsey Hall

Hidden Magic by Linsey Hall

My rating: ✮ ✮ ✮ ✩ ✩

(Source: I received an ARC of this book for free. Thanks to Linsey Hall.)

We’d never had friends before. Or a place of our own. Or freedom.
Now, we had all three. And I couldn’t wait to see what we’d do with it.

It was a short, fun read, where after showed us how they got to do their business, how they came to it, how they started it, where the idea came from. How they met their friends and how they started their lives in their current city.
It was an interesting and a nerve-wracking read, as always, but still I enjoyed it very much.

Spontaneity isn’t bad. It might even be…epic.

I am disappointed, this book didn't come even close to my expectations, I liked it, but not very much.

It was unnecessarily stretched, half of it could have been edited out. BUT I seriously cried once or twice for her, cause author did an amazing job expressing and presenting the events and emotions of the characters.

He chuckled next to me.
“Watch it, BB. Don’t forget we’re going to Jungle Fever next time. You’d better be nice to me so I’ll catch you if you fall.”
Too late, I wanted to say. I’ve already fallen.

Overall, it was fun, and I liked it, but again, I was expecting for more.

Falling for the Girl Next Door (Creative HeArts #5)…✎…Tera Lynn Childs

Falling for the Girl Next Door by Tera Lynn Childs

My rating: ✮ ✮ ✮ ✮ ✮

(Source: I received an ARC of this book for free. Thanks to NetGalley, Entangled Publishing, LLC, Entangled: Crush and Tera Lynn Childs.)

Home isn’t a place or a house or even a familiar city. Home is wherever Tru lives.

I just can't help but love the Creative HeArts series, maybe the fact that I am an artist myself affects it, but still I love it.

At first, I should admit that I was scared that there is going to be a love triangle, which luckily didn't happen, but when I saw that the third boy was Finn I was shocked but actually intrigued, cause I love him the most, and I want him to reach his dreams and goals.

This feeling, he thought, is better than any high I’ve ever felt.

The book had a deep and serious meaning, it was about families' disorders, and about obsessive addictions. I hope that many teenagers read and see how to overcome these kind of problems. I was glad to see how True took the wheel and decided to make it right, how he faced his problems, and wanted to become a better person for himself, and the people that he loves.

I LOVED it!

Peyton's Choice…✎…Kimberley A. Johnson

Peyton's Choice by Kimberley A. Johnson

My rating: ✮ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩

(Source: I received an ARC of this book for free. Thanks to Kimberley A. Johnson for giving me the privilege.)

Being an ARC reader is pressuring, but it's more pressuring when you are the one who requested it. However the whole point of it is to read and give your honest thoughts about the book to author, and I am sorry to say that I really didn't like it, so much that it took me a week to finish it.

While the blurb was interesting, the story wasn't well written. I could without half if not more of it. The female character was annoying, she couldn't decide was she in love with him, or was she not. The male character was so judgy that I hated him, I hated them both, and I am glad for the Peyton's Choice at the end, since the baby would have suffered at the end, if ended up with parens like this. And while the blurb was about teen pregnancy, she didn't get pregnant till the very end, which was annoying.

Overall, I didn't like it.

“He’s kind and sweet and so goddamn incredible and he doesn’t deserve to have his world turned upside down like this! He should be making all these plans right now and being excited about graduating college and starting a new chapter in his life, and instead it’s end of fucking story. The best guy on this whole planet is stuck with me—forever—all because of what was supposed to be a one-time hookup!”
“Aw hell. You do love him.”
“Yes.”
“But you haven’t told him.”
“No.”
“Why the hell not?”
“Because… Because I’m trying to make this as easy as I can for him. Love complicates things, and shit is complicated enough right now. And…”
“And what?”

And I don’t know if he loves me back.

I couldn't believe that I got the privilege!! I really couldn't believe it!!1
LOVED this book!!! Can you get any better Kennedy? I mean for real, how do you do this. Generally, second books are better then firsts, but thirds suck, and look here... this is the 4th, THE FOURTH, and it's getting better and better. Well, it was getting but I know that this is the last book in the series... kind of, cause there is still Fitz and Summer!!! In the last book I was shipping her with Tuck, but well, we see how he turned out. Which is unexpected, but AMAZINGLY unexpected!! Loved their story, loved how they evolved, how they acted, communicated, how he accepted the pregnancy and said he will take care of him. I LOVE the old fashion guys, I don't think women appear weaker, no, not at all. I want to have my Tuck, beside me, the one who respects, and takes care of his woman. I don't care if it sounds animalistic and possessive, I repeat having a strong man next to you, does not WEAKEN you!!
I have so many feelings about this book, that I don't think this review will cover, but the boys, the girls, the fights, the arguments, the conversations, the understandings, they were so overwhelming but AMAZINGLY overwhelming, in a good way not bad. And Dean, god I love that boy, hopefully we will see him more, I think the siblings are my favorite characters, even though I love all the characters, but there is something in their DNA!!! Anyway, I wanted to sucker-punch him, for accusing Sab, but even then I loved him!! I loved EVERYTHING!! and OMG, the godfather-competition, lol, I was rolling from my laughter, my big bad absy hocker players, knitting, and competing for a godfather's title, that was just cute!!!
The only think that I disliked was Tucker's mom, Even in the end, I couldn't like her, maybe I am not a mother, and that's why I can't understand where she was coming from, but she was one annoying, disrespectful, and nosy old lady!!!

“You might be a bullshitting poser, but you’re also a good guy. The best I know.”

Unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations, but they were not so high.
Yes it was cute, but there was soon much drama, it was such a drag, and the main characters... well let's say I didn't like him that much. They were an OK characters, but not more.
Aimee was needy, and Miles was selfish. He was ready to ruin the whole band(and he said it himself, like he was ready for leave) just to get the girl.
I liked the band mates, and I really hope their books would be better.
And I liked Nick.
I definitely didn't like LJ lol

Overall, it was an OK book.

The Boyfriend Bet by Chris Cannon

My rating: ✮ ✮ ✮ ✩ ✩

(Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free for an honest review. Thanks to NetGalley, Entangled Publishing, LLC, Entangled: Crush and Chris Cannon.)

Time isn’t as important as the people you spend it with.

It was a cute YA book. Even though I didn't love it as much as the first one, I still enjoyed it and laughed while reading it.

First of all, THANK YOU for bringing Nathan and Jane here, thank you so much, they were as cute as ever. I am glad that they were still together AND that Nathan knew here better than she thought.

Ok back to our main characters.
Zoe was whinny, I didn't like her that much, she was needy and I did't like it. She started all that and she wanted someone else to take the responsibility. I didn't like her drama queen antics. While I liked Amber. Hopefully she really gets her happy ever after. I didn't like how Zoe acted and badmouthed Jack, in front of everyone. She disrespected him in front of his enemy... I bet she wouldn't like it if he did the same thing.

I understood Grant, and I didn't blame for everything he did, we liked it or no that's another question, but his actions were kind of justified.

Overall, it was a nice read, hopefully we will get another couple up here.

Everyone has an agenda. Everyone is always looking for something more.

First of all don't get deceived with this cute cover, this story is anything but cute.
I can't say I enjoyed it really very much, but it was an ok YA book. About chasing your dreams and coming to terms with you actions and their consequences.

"Sometimes letting people in is also another way to love yourself, to give yourself a chance.”

I must say Jen was an ok character, sometimes she annoyed me, but I liked her.
And Lucas, he was an asshole sometimes, and confused me with her thoughts and accusations, but well... he was not always right. However, I liked that they both after what they wanted despite being scolded for it.

I didn't like Olivia from the beginning, and I knew that their friends death was somehow connected to her. All the twist and mental disorders were unexpected and surprising for me, it kind of felt out of place, but well when they don't right?

Although, I must admit that I was more interested in Alisha and Steve, hopefully we will get a story with them.

Love Comes Later…✎…Mohanalakshmi Rajakumar

Love Comes Later by Mohanalakshmi Rajakumar

My rating: ✮ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩

(Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free for an honest review. Thanks to NetGalley, Createspace and Mohanalakshmi Rajakumar.)

This was huge disappointment. I was expecting so much better.
This book was awful and unfair.
I was exciting to explore the Muslim culture. I would not say it's much different from Christianity or other religions. However, the country culture is surely different. Men are the heads of family's and women there only are housewives. I didn't like the fact that women can't easily work there... The other parts I kind of understand, or try to, after all it's culture. The other think that I have learned is that when Muslim and a person having another religion get married, the later doesn't have to convert to Muslim, however if the person marrying Muslim, does not have a religion they have to convert, which is kind of understandable again, but on the other hand forcing a religion on someone is not fair.

Well that part was interesting, but...
The story...

I didn't like Sangita, she threw herself on Abdullah knowing that he is Hind's fiancee. They both blamed Hind for what happened between them, but Hind did not cheat on him, she just took the chance to explore the world, and went to do a community job... Like what the hell, yeah maybe in your culture running away for a week to another country is shameful, but what she did and what you did is incomparable!!! And they called her the bitch, while the bitch was Sangita. TBH, I don't think she loves Abdullah, she just wanted to experience have an adventure, she said that herself to Ravi "Hind had her adventure I want mine too..." but how? By backstabbing your best friend, by cheating with her fiancee, knowing the consequences, by breaking their engagement knowing that she can't have life in her country anymore, and the shame just for your happiness? When she let you live for free at her apartment, when she befriended you and have you all she had??? What a backstabbing bitch. And that Luluwa or whatever her name was, annoyed me as well.

Overall, it was unfair and awful...

(Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free for an honest review. Thanks to NetGalley, Chrysanthalix Press and T.S. Pettibone.)

This certainly was a unique experience. Unfortunately we didn't get too much into Inborns' nature. We only found out how they came there, a bit about why the did, and what they will do, we will have to find out in the next book. I don't like when the book ends in a cliffhanger and this one did.

“Love is why we’re a weak species. People should hurt what they like and destroy what they love. I need nothing but the strength to never be defeated.”

So, first of all, I think that the writers have really twisted minds. The covers and the books itself, and the upbringing, wow, where did you find this inspiration from, I am really interested?

Instead of saying nice words, he’d make me gifts. I knew it was because he didn’t want to tell anyone what he felt. If he did, he’d love and be weak. He was good at pretending, but I’d always known that he felt things deeply—more deeply than all of us.

I liked the characters, I did, Snofrid was a strong character, but she also recognised and embraced her lacks, which she had a lot.
I really like Cid, he was amazing. I want to know more about his eye and himself. The fact that he was raised in that way and changed to the good but still kept his old self was actually nice to see. I would not like him to change totally. Since it was him, he was imperfectly perfect.

“Love is when the other person’s happiness is more important than your own.”

Same goes for his brother. I really came to like Haidan and his crew, especially Rhode and Coyote.
He believed his own ways, and I know that under that amor there was a loving man, even though he did not admit it. I liked how protective he was of Cid, even though he was his adopted brother. I also liked the fact that Cid still cared about him, knowing his dark side.

Letting him lose face for the sake of love wasn’t love. It was greed.”

I really hope there is a way to bring Rhode back to life, since I really don't know why,, but I shipped him with Jazar, and she has a crush on Dez, but he is too old for her, and since Parisa really disappointed him in the end, there are two outcomes for Dez, either he is going to die, which I hope he won't, or he is going to be with Jazara after al.. which in a few year might not be so creepy. But still I want Rhode back, he was cute, and he was fun, he was smart and he had potential and he was loyal unlike his brother Coyote.... Wow I was really disappointed in Dracuslayers' betrayal, Heissa, I saw that coming , but Coyote... No. And I definitely didn't see him as a heartless, brutal, coldhearted brother-killer!!!

Overall, it was hard to keep up with the book, but it was new for sure.

“You are lucky I can barely move, talking to me that way.”
“What would you do, hit me? You brute.”
“No, I would never hit you. I would...”
“What?”
Sonya said with a bratty stare.
“I would take you in my arms and make you mine.”

I am sorry to say, but I did not like it at all. The beginning was good, but later it became really boring. I could not concentrate and get into it. The writing style was poor, I am not sure was it because it was authors first book...
Anyway, it was more about the erotica then mafia. The name says mafia, so it should have been about mafia. We did not see how he fought the FINAL and the most important fight. I guess author wanted to write it that way to surprise us, but well, it did not work, for me, anyway.
Being an ARC reader is pressuring, since you don't want to leave a bad review, and say something bad, since authors after all give you a free copy moreover in advance, however I am sorry but I cannot lie.
The female character was stupid, insane and there was an impression that she will jump anyone just to lose her virginity. And she was kind of clingy, also she has an impressive, NOT, imagination...

Soul Crossed by Lisa Gail Green

(Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free for an honest review. Thanks to NetGalley, Full Fathom Five Digital and Lisa Gail Green.)

I really enjoyed reading this.
You kind of grab since the first chapter what actually happened...
I liked both characters, but I am proud of the author that she turned Grace into that kind of Angel. She was not a typical type, she was something different. It showed that being and angel does not specifically mean that you are all goody good, Grace was having fun since she loved a boy and she was amazing just for that, since she was not forgetting her purpose.

Same goes for Josh. This book showed that everyone has a chance. He was a demon, YES! However after illustrated him in the way that stated what you do or you are told to do more specifically does not mean does not define you!

I really enjoyed it, can't wait for the next one, but reading the description, I am kind of scared of it lol

Ok, so after reading this book I could not sleep the way I sed too... I am not going to spoil why, cause that is the whole point of this book, which was new, and I loved that idea even though it creeped me out!

The beginning was confusing and kind of annoying, since she was keen of flashbacks, which I hate. I think this character has a concentration disorder lol Since she was talking about one thing and bam! another thing and then came back to the previous topic...

The Green eyed Irish accent.... OMG I loved him, but me defending him made me question my morals for a day or two, and then I was like no you are good, it's just a book lol

"Take your hands off her or I'll end you now."

He was hot, he was sexy and I loved it.
He definitely regretted what he did, and if it was me and it was real life I would hate him as well, however since this is a book, and a fantasy one, we could dream for a romance, right?
It certainly broke her and her trust, but I think everything will be fine, I am looking forward, with the last discovery and all, but to be honest I speculated it, and the events, and I am proud of myself for that!

Overall, it was an interesting book and can't wait for the next book!

I enjoyed reading this book. Finished it within a day. It was a fast read. I was not bored at all, mostly since it was really entertaining. I loved both characters. I loved how they grew. Sometimes I got confused of the time changes, cause it flew too fast but it was ok for the most part.

Both characters; growth was showcased in a tasteful way, however they were cliche parts which made me kind of cringe, but I got over it with the help of the actual message of this book. We are stronger than we think, and we can influence others easily, however it is our choice how we will do it, in a good or in a bad way.

He was a high school student while she was a million dollar pop star. He knew exactly who he was while she was just figuring it all out. There were a million reasons for them not to be together. A million reasons for them not to let this go any further. And only one reason for them to hold on. He loved her.

She was his Dream Girl and now that he’d found her, he was going to hold on as tightly as he could.

Creative HeArts is one of those creative series. First of all the characters are so different, and bright and colourful, thanks to the different authors. I love the idea that each couple's story is told from another author. But out of the all 4 books so far this was the best one for me.

I loved both characters almost as always. But the thing is that romance was much more here than in the others. Author was not shy talking about their desires and attraction, while in the other books it was kind of limited even restricted. While reading this I felt at ease, while during others I was kind of tense, like I knew they wanted to do something but they couldn't and I wanted to do it in their place or make them somehow to that.

Overall, loved it!
Want to see more of them, looking forward!

I liked this book.
It was a good book. In the beginning it was a drag to be honest, but later it became interesting, I guess thanks to the romance and the secrets.
Not going to lie it surprised, shocked and confused me more than 100 times.
I think she had crush on her best gay friend, and I was really hoping that after his love's death author won't turn him into bi or straight. But she did not, which I was happy about.
I really enjoyed the ending, but she became cruel at times, not going to spoil you should read to find out, but well it turned out good at the end and her actions if not fully than at least partly got justified, which is the least we could have hoped for.
Liked it really.

I love this series so much!
The books are short and straight to the point, no drama no boredom, just fun, adventures, excitement, tension, love, magic, dragons, a MONSTER! I mean what else you would love to see in a book!

Loved it. Loved that finally they got a date, or somewhat like that :D
I am sad and happy that this was not the final book. Sad because since Lord Voldemort no one scared me this much as the Monster, and HappY cause duh I am going to see this lick-ass girls and Aiden again, who by the way is just PERFECT, so perfect that it is UNFAIR!!!

What I loved about this book that she embraced her true self, that we saw a new side of her. That we saw a new things like dragonets. Linsey never repeats the events she adds something new and that is amazing, cause we do not get bored, and count the seconds to come back.

But also I love how she mentions the little points that show her personalities so well. Some authors would think that is meaningless, but those are actually the keys to a great storyline.

Loved it. Can't wait for the next book!!!!

Forbidden romances are always exciting to read, because they are so scandalous, but this one did not quiet hit that mark.

It was a short read, yeah, and yes Shane actually was hot, but it felt like there was no point in this books. Just sex, sex, sex, and then a bit of dialogue sex, sex, sex monologue...
I mean nothing actually happened. I was kind of bored and annoyed with the plot and the main female character.

The Other Side Of Gravity (Oxygen #1)…✎…Shelly Crane

(Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free for an honest review. Thanks to NetGalley, Red Coat PR and Shelly Crane.)

The whole idea of this story was really interesting, however the books itself was kind of a slow drag.
It was fun to read about humans survival on the different planet, it was cool that it was mentioned that the reason why Earth was destroyed was because of the people and technology. Hopefully, people who like to read Sci-Fi or Dystopian genres, would understand this and impact on their surroundings. All this books try to teach us that fact, but people stubbornly ignore it, acting like it is just an entertainment. EVERY book and movie has purpose and lesson, try to grab it.

It was really interesting to see that they have to take gravity and oxygen pills. I know that people are going to hate me for saying this, but even slavery brought an intriguing feeling here. Yes, it is bad but still it is good to see, cause it is a motivation for the characters.

Overall, even though I expected so much more, it was fun, but I am hoping to see more in the next books. Since this was all about their feelings and romance, and not the whole purpose. Yes Romance is amazing but you should not overdo it with putting in shade the whole meaning and reasons for their actions and the happening events!

I loved it! I love all the boys in this series, I mean the main characters. However, unlike Sloane or Willa, Mariely was not afraid to take risks and tried out new thing, considering that the other two were proved enough and were designer and writer, they should have had this characteristics, not Mariely, who was an actress, and was actually afraid. But, what I liked about her the most that she was leading, not Cabot, but Cabot was cool in the way that he lead silently, while supporting her. Both were not afraid to accept their feelings. Both had problems in their families. I was a bit mad when she lied to him just to keep him away from her living place, however, of course I understood her.

Overall, it was fast and fun read, cannot wait for the 4th book!!!
